I've been trying to exercise more. I walk the dogs more and have started to run with them too. They have to be leashed since Thumper has no self control, so my walk / run really keeping up with Thumper. He is much faster than Lighthing and I would otherwise go. He believes he must always be in the lead....so my walk / run proceeds with him doing something like this (see picture below). yes, the picture is a bit blurry, but that is pretty much how these treks go. Happy Monday everyone!
That's great! I try running with Blueberry - but she isn't that into it. So we just run for short spurts. Or, if she sees a rabbit and is chasing it - then we run longer until I am laughing so hard I can't keep up. I'm not sure that's really exercise - more like entertainment for the people watching us. ;)
ReplyDeleteI have to watch to make sure there are not cats or small animals around...he's been known to suddenly change direction and go after them! 4 leggers change direction alot faster than 2 leggers do. Lol.
DeleteI love your picture! It gives me a great idea of your walk...in the dark too? Your Thumper is exactly what My Thumper used to be. Always had to be lead dog :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I usually wait until after the sun sets...it's cooler and almost nobody is outside. Less distraction for the dogs and no witnesses for my attempts at running. Lol. I'm going to read about your Thumper next time I'm blog hopping. He sounds like my kind of dog.
DeleteYea for doggie induced exercise!
ReplyDeleteHey, being dragged along faster is one good way to get more exercise! LOL!
ReplyDeleteSO true, plus pulling on the leash to slow him down is good bicep exercise! LOL!
DeleteSherri....
ReplyDeleteThumper's tail is wagging!! I love that!! He certainly looks happy!!
Love, Raelyn.... And Rose, my BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE "Mystery Dog"!!
